London is lauded in Zagat guide

As the UK fights to attract tourists in defiance of the foot-and-mouth crisis, the industry can take heart from a guide which rates England as one of the best countries in the world to visit, with London one of the favourite cities.
The Zagat survey of hotels, resorts and spas is based on the views of its 12,000 contributors. They gave the highest ratings to properties in Bali, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
Aman Resorts was named the top international resort chain, while the 300-bedroom Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong was voted the world's top hotel. The Oriental in Bangkok was second and the Ritz in Paris third. Top resort was the Four Seasons in Jimbaran Bay, Bali.
