Man charged with fraud

A man was being held in custody last week on charges of deception after incidents at hotels in Wales and Gloucestershire.

Peter Wayne, who was not granted bail, has been charged with deception at four-star hotels Llangoed Hall in Powys and Wyck Hill House in Stow-on-the-Wold after running up bills of almost £400 at each property.

Wayne, who is understood to be a leading architectural expert, was also charged with the burglary of about £20,000-worth of antiques from the Upper Court bed & breakfast in Kemerton. He is to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court this week.
