McDonald's bomb kills manageress

The manageress of a McDonald's restaurant in France was killed last week when a bomb exploded close to the window for drive-through sales.

The explosion, which killed Laurence Turbac, 27, at McDonald's in Dinan, Brittany, is the second attack at the restaurant within two months.

Last month the restaurant was sprayed with gunfire in a night attack, but nobody was hurt.

Police believe a group called the Breton Revolutionary Army may be responsible. The group has claimed responsibility for attacks over the past two years but these have been directed at government buildings. It is believed the group may be attacking McDonald's to attract greater publicity.

A spokesman for the restaurant said that it remained closed while police continued their investigations. He said that no other staff were injured but that some were receiving psychological help from a specialist.
