More food and drink than ever at IFE

International food and drink exhibition IFE 2003 is aiming for a record number of exhibitors with 1,400 taking part from 45 countries. The event takes place from 23 to 26 March at ExCel in London's Docklands.

Visitors will be able to view and sample new and existing products and find out about the latest trends. Product demonstrations and keynote debates will also feature.

New to the event is the Theatre of Cheese, which is designed to expand knowledge of speciality, regional and international cheeses through tutored tastings. How to pair cheese and wine, and how to plan a cheeseboard are other topics for discussion.

IFE is divided into nine sectors, including frozen foods, organic and fresh produce, cheese and dairy, bakery and confectionery, packaging, alcohol and soft drinks, and speciality food from Britain. There will also be an international pavilion section with exhibitors from countries including Brazil, Japan and South Africa.
