Multi-purpose internal mobile phone launches

The TeleDect radio-based mobile communications system is designed to enhance customer service and staff efficiency at hotel and catering premises by integrating two-way speech messaging, text and a personal alarm system.

The Lanesborough Hyde Park Hotel in London, one of the first users of the system, lends its guests TeleDect handsets for use both on outside calls and also to gain a direct link with hotel services.

Staff, who are on the same system, but with a different type of handset, can be contacted swiftly for butler, porterage and maintenance duties.

The fire detection system is also interfaced with the system, enabling alarm locations to be flashed up on an LCD screen. Other integrated options include a personal alarm for lone workers and group calling.
