New products vie for Hotelympia crown

The winners of this year's Hotelympia New Product Awards will be announced next Tuesday (24 February), following a final round of judging on the opening day of the show.

Five products in each of four sections have been shortlisted for the final, and will be exhibited in the New Product Award Display Area in the North Hall of ExCel, the London Docklands venue for this year's Hotelympia.

The shortlist, from more than 150 entries, was compiled by industry judges. The four categories are: food and drink; catering equipment; interiors and tableware; and technology from the Hostec-EurHotec exhibition within the show. The presentations will take place on the Sunborn Yacht on Tuesday afternoon at 3.30pm.

Shortlisted entries include the Pollux egg pasteuriser from Bright, the Beurre de Cacao Mycryo from Barry Callebaut, a 17in widescreen TV for the bathroom from Porter Lancastrian, and the antibacterial Permagard chef's jacket from Johnsons Stalbridge Linen Services.
