New Yorker sues fast-food firms

A New York man is suing four fast-food chains, claiming that their food made him fat and gave him serious health problems.

Caesar Barber named McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken in the lawsuit, saying that they should list ingredients on their menus.

Barber said that fast food had caused him to suffer two heart attacks, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. His lawyer is said to be looking for people to join the lawsuit.

National Restaurant Association president Steven Anderson described the action as "senseless, baseless and ridiculous".
