New Millennium

Millennium & Copthorne's four-star, 222-bedroom Millennium Chelsea Hotel in Sloane Street, London, has been renamed the Millennium Knightsbridge. The group is also opening two hotels -in Reading and Glasgow.

Baxter & Platts

Baxter & Platts has been awarded four contracts with a combined annual turnover of almost £500,000 - not £5,000 as reported last week. Its latest clients are Rickmansworth-based Comet Group; the National Housing Building Council in Amersham; Esselte in Uxbridge; and the Middle East Broadcasting Centre in Battersea, London.

Compensation win

A group of deaf holiday-makers who were evicted from Butlins' seaside camp at Pwllheli, North Wales, have won compensation for being wrongly implicated in the vandalism of a holiday chalet. The amount of the settlement was not revealed.
