Peter Haigh is the new international director of sales and marketing for hotel group Accor. Based in London and responsible for all outbound business to Accor hotels worldwide, he previously held the same position at the Ritz hotel in London.

Emma Blanc has been appointed business development manager for At Home, executive caterers and party planners in Cobham, Surrey. She was general manager of Tuttons in Covent Garden.

Elisabeth Barton has taken over as sales co-ordinator of Destination Heathrow, a marketing project designed to promote Heathrow hotels. She used to be sales co-ordinator for Whitbread.

Jonny Grieves is moving from his position as manager of Quincey's in Tarleton, Lancashire, to general manager of Quincey's in Sheffield, which opens on2 November.

Paul Clark has been appointed area manager of Hertfordshire-based pub operator Wizard Inns. He was previously an area manager for Scottish & Newcastle.

Adrian Pagdin has been named general manager of Oriel Leisure's Holiday Inn Express hotel in Peterborough, which is due to open later this year. He was food and beverage manager of the Birch hotel in Sussex.

Brian Ward is executive chef at Bolton FC's Reebok Stadium. A former chef for Manchester United, he is responsible for the refreshments on match days and the catering at events such as conferences.

Tony Dangerfield has been recruited as sales and marketing director of Thistle Hotels. He was vice-president of sales and marketing at Hilton International in the Americas and joins Thistle's London head office in December.

Anthony Marten has joined the board of brewery group Morland in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, as retail director. He was previously retail director of Marston, Thompson & Evershed.

Laura Gold is the new conference sales manager at the Noke Thistle hotel in St Albans, Hertfordshire. She trained at the London Hilton in Park Lane and was a conference and banqueting co-ordinator at Sopwell House hotel, St Albans.

Cendant Corporation has appointed Flo Lugli as president and general manager of WizCom International, suppliers of travel industry reservation systems. Based in Parsippany, New Jersey, she was vice-president of worldwide sales for Cendant's hotel division.

Julia Record has been appointed director of communications at the Savoy Group. She was formerly director of public relations at Thistle Hotels.

Daniel Hardcastle, formerly bar and restaurant manager at the Park Royal Wellington hotel in New Zealand, has been named head chef for the second Babe Ruth's restaurant to open in Swiss Cottage, north London, in November.

Simon Longbottom has joined the board of pub group Mill House Inns in Westcott, Buckinghamshire, as operations director. For the past two years he was operations executive with the company.
