RICHARD FARRELLY has been appointed general manager of the La Tasca Spanish tapas bar and restaurant on Deansgate in Manchester. He was manager of Bar Coast in Cambridge.

CARLOS SILVA has joined Sheldons Brasserie in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, as manager. He was previously a general manager for City Centre Restaurants.

FILIP BOYEN has left his post as general manager of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in Tahiti to take over as manager of the Hotel Monasterio and the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge in Peru.

PAM MONKS has taken over as general manager of the Preston Marriott hotel. She was general manager of the Swindon Marriott hotel.

CHRISTINA FIELD has moved from FJB's Sandbanks hotel in Poole, Dorset, where she was sales and conference co-ordinator, to become conference and banqueting manager at the Haven hotel also in Poole, Dorset.

ALAN THOMAS has joined Stapleford Park hotel in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, as general manager. He was a consultant for the Dooralong Valley Resort hotel in New South Wales, Australia.

FERGUS STEWART has taken over as manager of the Landmark London hotel. He was resident manager of the Shangri-La hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.

GRAHAM DODD, manager of Christie & Co's Maidstone office, in Kent, has been appointed associate director. PAULA BURGESS, manager of Christie & Co's London restaurants division, has also been appointed associate director.

GEORGE WORTLEY has been promoted to managing director of St Peter's Brewery Group in Bungay, Suffolk. He was sales director.

ANTHONY ROUND has been appointed franchise sales manager for Domino's Pizza. He was formerly a general manager for Marston Thompson and Evershed breweries.

NAVNEET BALI has left his post as vice-president of the Taj Group of Hotels to take over as a director of the London office of hospitality consulting firm HVS International.

JUSTINE FORD has been promoted to leisure product manager for the UK hotels division of Queens Moat Houses. She was leisure product manager.

STEPHANIE VERSIN has joined Accor UK Economy Hotels as marketing and communications manager. She was previously responsible for communications projects at Air France.

TOM GOODFELLOW has been promoted to area sales manager of the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club at Kirknewton, Edinburgh. He was executive meetings manager.
