STEPHEN HAUPT is leaving Scottish & Newcastle, where he was managing director of Pontins, to join Regent Inns as managing director, from mid-March.

GLYNN DALBY has been appointed general manager of the De Vere Whites hotel which

opens at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, Lancashire, in August. He was general manager of the Ramada hotel, now Manchester's Renaissance, and director of operations for Ramada UK.

KRISTOFFER LUCZAK has taken over as executive chef of Bali's Oberoi hotel. He was chef de cuisine at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs, USA.

DAVID LINDSAY has taken over as general manager of Newcastle upon Tyne's Swallow Gosforth

Park hotel. He was general manager of Swallow's St John's hotel in Solihull, West Midlands.

TREVOR GREEN retires from Lake District-based brewer and pub operator Jennings at the end of the month. He will be replaced by MIKE CLAYTON, a director of the company.

STEPHEN PRICE is the new director of operations for Millennium & Copthorne's UK

provincial hotels. Based at the Copthorne hotel in Birmingham, he was regional general manager for seven Copthorne hotels in the Midlands and southern England.

JOHN McNAMARA has joined the Hospitality Training Foundation as director and head of commercial operations. He was corporate director for the Hampshire region with NatWest bank.

CLEM BARTER, senior vice-president of Conrad International Hotels, has taken

on responsibility for the group's Asian hotels in addition to hotels in Europe and the Middle East.

JOHN COUSINS has become director of the Food and Beverage Training Company. He was head of hospitality studies at Thames Valley University.

NUNO NEVES has moved from the Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel in Malta, where he was food and

beverage co-ordinator, to become F&B manager of the Sheraton Hotel Casablanca in Morocco.

JOSE PUDUKADEN has been appointed chief engineer of the Holiday Inn Bahrain. He was

manager of the Muscat Holiday Inn and the Al Madinah Holiday Inn, also in Muscat in the Middle East.

WILLIE WHITE, former chef and food and beverage director at CP Hotels' Algonquin in St Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada, is now F&B director of the Delta Bow Valley hotel in Calgary, Canada.

MICHAEL DUFFY has taken on the role of director of sales and marketing at the Celtic Manor

Resort in Newport, Gwent. He was marketing controller for Moat House Hotels.

MARGARETHA AHLKVIST has been appointed sales and marketing manager for the

Swan Diplomat hotel at Streatley-on-Thames, Berkshire. She was director of Swedish sales for Rica City Hotels, based in Stockholm.came from less w
