DAMIEN RICE has left the London Capital Club, where he was commis chef, to work under

Michel Roux as commis chef at Le Gavroche, also in London.

SIMON ROWE has been appointed finance director of Regent Inns. He was financial controller at pub group JD Wetherspoon.

STUART NELSON has become the new general manager of the Carlton George Hotel in Glasgow.

He was general manager of Chartdene, a 13-strong Ayrshire-based hotel, restaurant and pub group.

STEPHEN MULLIGAN hasjoined Bass as both regionalvice-president of operations for central Europe and general manager of the Hotel Inter-Continental in Vienna. He was general manager of the Churchill Inter-Continental hotel in London.

JEAN-FRAN€OIS GARNIER has taken over as director of development at Warwick International Hotels. He held the same position at Marriott International Group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

MIKE NALBORCZYK is leaving hispost as general manager of the Stakis hotel in

Sheffield to become general manager of the Hilton hotel at Melbourne international airport, which opens this summer.

WILLIAM GIBB is the new executive chef at the Capital Club, a private business and social club in Beijing, China.He was executive chef at the Bankers Club in Taipei, Taiwan.

KEVIN HOSKING has joinedOld English Inns as head of operations. He was divisional director of restaurants at Greenalls.

MICHAEL HIRST, former chairman and chief executive officer of Hilton International, and

an advisor to international hospitality and leisure firms, has been appointed a consultant to hotel real estate advisory firm Insignia Hotel Partners.

SCOTT WISEMAN is the new general manager of the Hotel Sofitel in Philadelphia, USA, which opens in April. He was regional vice-president of operations at Philadelphia-based hotel management companyGF Management.

GEORGINA BROWN has been promoted at Eurest to director of its food service operations in the

south-east of England. She joined Eurest last year and was account manager of its contract with information technology firm ICL.

RICHARD WOOD has left the Winnipeg Convention Centre in Manitoba, Canada, where he was banquet captain, to join the Lombard Hotel, also in Winnipeg, as assistant restaurant manager.

GINA SCHECK has joined the board of Old English Inns as a non-executive director. She has her own consultancy business specialising in coaching and mentoring senior executives.

TRACEY HATTON has been recruited as director of sales and marketing at the Millennium Gloucester hotel. She was a director of sales for Swallow International.
