CHRIS MOEBUS has been promoted to deputy general manager of the Cardiff Bay hotel in South Wales. He was personnel manager at the hotel.

NEIL KIRBY has been appointed general manager of the Royal Horseguards Thistle hotel in Whitehall, London. He was general manager of the Pennyhill Park and Country Club in Bagshot, Surrey.

BERNARD JINDASA has joined the Hit or Miss Country Inn near Amersham, Buckinghamshire, as executive head chef.He previously ran his own restaurant, Wendles, in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex.

STEVE LAMBERT has become information technology director at the Whitbread Hotel Company. He was information systems services director for Dixons.

PHILIP MASON-GORDON has become general manager of the Old Parsonage hotel in Oxford. The former general manager of the Matetsi Game Lodges in Zimbabwe, he replaces IAN HAMILTON, who has moved to the Old Bank hotel in Oxford as general manager.

JOHN RATHBONE has resigned as managing director of ISS Food Hygiene to become managing director of Initial Catering's business and industry division.

PHIL ROKER has moved jobs within contract catering group Sodexho. He has left his post as client account executive for its Directors Table division to become a sales consultant for Sodexho Citation.

JOSEPH PITCHER is the new regional sales manager for Accor Hotels in London's West End. He was business development manager for London at Forte Hotels.

SIMON EVANS has joined catering firm FMC as business development director. He was operations director of Sodexho Prestige.

ERIKA HOFMEISTER has become general manager of sales and marketing for central and eastern Europe at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. She was international director of sales and marketing for Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, based in Frankfurt.

PETER RODDAM has left his post at Eurest Support Services UK, where he was an area manager for MoD contracts in Germany. He has joined Eurest New Zealand as general manager of the Wellington Convention Centre in Wellington, New Zealand.

ANTONY SPENCER has been named product development director of Shire Inns pub chain. He was national operations manager for Express by Holiday Inn.

RUPERT SELLERS has joined Ian Schrager Hotels as regional director of sales and marketing for Europe. He was group marketing director for the Metropolitan and Halkin hotels in London. And JENNIFER BEALES has been promoted within Schrager. She remains director of sales of the Sanderson hotel but now also holds the same post with the St Martin's Lane hotel.
