Ronan McGovern has been appointed general manager of the Novotel hotel in Wolverhampton. He was previously operations manager at the Novotel Birmingham Airport.

David Rushton has been appointed to the newly created position of director of sales for London at Accor. He previously worked for Accor on a consultancy basis.

Kempinski Hotels & Resorts has promoted Werner Kleber to vice-president of finance at its corporate office in Geneva. He was director of finance at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing, China.

Phillip Stanley has joined Premier Lodge as business development manager. He joins from Whitbread, where he was commercial manager for its budget accommodation business.

Jacqui Allum has also joined the Premier Lodge group as operations manager. She was formerly a regional operations manager at Travelodge.

Michael Mcgarrie has been appointed to the Copthorne Hotel in Aberdeen as executive chef. He was senior sous chef at the Thainstone House Hotel in Aberdeen.

Denis McEvoy, general manager at the De Vere Hotel in Blackpool, has been appointed general manager of Dunston Hall hotel in Norwich.

Samantha Hui has been appointed director of sales for the Regal Kaitak Hotel in Hong Kong. She was assistant director of sales at the former colony's Kowloon Hotel.

Leigh Jagger has been appointed director of business development and operations for the Banks Sadler meetings agency. She was previously managing director for EuroForum.

Regal Kaitak Hotel has appointed Ella Young to the position of public relations manager. She was assistant manager of communications at the head office of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Hong Kong.

Jane Brown has joined the Swan Diplomat Hotel in Streatley-on-Thames, Berkshire, as sales and marketing manager. She comes from the Wren's Hotel Group, Windsor, where she was groups sales manager.

Annica Eskelius has also joined the Swan Diplomat as food and beverage manager. She joins from the Nordic Forum Restaurant and Conference Centre in Kista, Sweden, where she was responsible for the food and beverage operation.

The St David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff Bay has appointed Paula Ellis leisure and corporate sales manager. She previously worked for Cardiff International Airport as marketing account manager.

Jon Evans has also been recruited by St David's Hotel & Spa as conference and event co-ordinator. He joins from American Express, where he was an account manager.
