Corus Hotels has welcomed Alison Pardoe as national account manager for the UK and Germany. Alison previously worked as account director for Le Méridien.

Sarah Bestwick has joined the 90-bedroom Watford Moat House as general manager. She was formerly customer sales manager at the Nottingham Moat House.

The four-star, 77-bedroom Brooklands hotel in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has welcomed two new employees. Mark Booth joins as general manager from the Sunderland Marriott hotel, where he held the same position. Francis Hindle, who was deputy manager at Crathorne Hall hotel in Yarm, North Yorkshire, has become hotel operations manager at Brooklands.

The board of the Hilton Group has appointed Ian Livingston non-executive director. He was previously group financial director of BT Group.

Jim O'Leary has joined the board of directors of the Gresham Hotel Group. Jim is an economics lecturer at the National University of Ireland and a board director of AIB Group, a financial services organisation.

Pubs and bars

The Laurel Pub Company has appointed Caroline Underwood trading director. Caroline joins the company from DSG Retail where she was retail development director.

Emma Woolsey has left her position as regional trainer at Ask Central to become a resourcer for the restaurant division at SVB Recruitment in Leeds.
