Edward Bleackley, former executive head chef at the Savoy Grill in London, has joined City Inn to head its 200-seat restaurant at the company's new 460-bedroom Westminster hotel. Joining Edward in the kitchen are Robert Arnott from the Charlotte Street Hotel in London, who takes on the role of executive sous chef, and new head pastry chef Amanda Whittaker, who previously worked at the Criterion Grill in London. City Inn Westminster's new recruits also include breakfast manager Line Gifford from the Kensington Hilton hotel and restaurant manager Darren Selby from Langan's Brasserie in London.

Irish hotel operator Moran Group has promoted Niamh Jordan to general manager of the 116-bedroom Crown Moran Hotel in London, which is due to open in November. Niamh was formerly deputy general manager of the Red Cow Moran hotel, the company's flagship property in Dublin.

Summit Hotels & Resorts has recruited Charlotte Franks as coordinator of marketing communications. Before joining the hotel group, she worked in the communications department of the National Arts Collections Fund.

Rezidor SAS Hospitality has appointed two new senior vice presidents. Martin Rinck joins as senior vice president of business development and Olivier Jacquin as senior vice president of sales. Martin was previously chief executive officer of Mövenpick Gastronomy International. Jacquin formerly worked at car rental company Europcar International as global sales director.

Francois Cnockaert has joined Raffles International as general manager of the 548-bedroom Swissôtel Nankai Osaka in Osaka, Japan. He previously held the same position at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, Korea. Raffles has also recruited Blaise Montandon as general manager for its 338-bedroom Nai Lert Park Bangkok hotel in Thailand, which is due to open in January. Previously, Blaise was deputy general manager of Le Montreux Place hotel in Montreux, Switzerland.

Hospitality recruitment agency HOCAPS has welcomed Kaare Johansen as director for its new office in the United Arab Emirates. Kaare leaves his role as area director of sales and marketing in Dubai for Rotana Hotels.
