Corus Hotels has appointed Sarah Brickwood learning and development manager for front office at its head office in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Sarah formerly worked as reception support manager for the hotel group.

Price

John Price, who won the Acorn Scholarship in 2002, has a new job. The former operations manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ipswich, Suffolk, has taken on the same role at the four-star, 94-bedroom Marriott Sprowston Manor Hotel & Country Club in Norwich, Norfolk.

David Woolf has returned to the Lowry Hotel in Manchester as executive head chef. David originally joined the five-star, 165-bedroom hotel for its launch in 2001 and left in 2003 to manage his own restaurant venture.

The 99-bedroom Ramada Encore Swansea, West Glamorgan, has a new general manager, Scott Tallant. American-born Scott was most recently operations manager at the Mount Sorrel Hotel in Barry, South Glamorgan.

Johnson

Sodexho Prestige has a new managing director, Mike Johnson, who was previously chief executive of pub company Eldridge Pope. Mike will work closely with his predecessor, Stephen McManus, until the end of March. Stephen will continue at Sodexho Prestige, taking on the role of executive development director.

Tim Aucott has joined Northern Racing, owner and operator of nine UK racecourses, as catering development manager. Tim leaves his role as hotel services manager for Hebridean Island Cruises.

Leisure property agent Davis Coffer Lyons has two new recruits. Pip Gee-Merrett has joined as senior surveyor, dealing with rent reviews and lease renewals. Pip, who has more than 15 years' experience in the market, has left her position of associate partner at property adviser Matthews & Goodman. Kate Taylor has joined the development team as a negotiator. She has a background in PR in retail and leisure property.
