Hotels

The five-star, 189-bedroom Swissôtel Howard in London has appointed Tom Nicolai Thomsen as chef de cuisine for its Jann restaurant. Tom was formerly sous chef at the Lighthouse restaurant in Singapore.

Stephen Warren has moved from Elegant Hotels in the Caribbean, where he was group chef, to the 283-bedroom Radisson Plaza hotel in Hangzhou, China. He joins as executive chef/F&B director.

Corus Hotels has welcomed Gerry Parsons as head of travel trade sales. Gerry previously worked at the Kensington Close hotel in London as director of sales.

Restaurants

Lars de Wijngaert has been appointed general manager of the Northampton branch of Frankie & Benny's. Lars joins the company from Nicholl's Brasseries in Berkhampstead and Harpenden, both in Hertfordshire, where he held the same position.

Frankie & Benny's is opening a 134-seat restaurant next week in Brighton and Simon Xavier is the general manager. He previously worked at the company's Eastbourne branch in East Sussex as kitchen manager.

Proctor

Hotel and leisure property advisor Edward Symmons & Partners has welcomed Paul Proctor as a senior partner. He has worked at the company for nearly 20 years, latterly involved in the restructuring of the asset value and recovery department.
