Hotels

The four-star, 283-bedroom Glasgow Moat House hotel has appointed Dominic McVey general manager. Dominic leaves his position with InterContinental Hotels as general manager for Scotland and the North.

Robert Watson has been appointed head concierge at the five-star, 160-bedroom London Conrad hotel in Chelsea Harbour. He joins from the Grosvenor House hotel on Park Lane, where he was head concierge for seven years.

Matthew Wilkin has joined the four-star, 58-bedroom Donnington Valley Hotel in Newbury as head pastry chef. He has previously worked in five-star hotels and two AA-rosette establishments across the UK.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World has elected Jonathan Slater, managing director of the five-star Chester Grosvenor, as chairman.

Pubs and bars

The board of Punch Taverns has welcomed Adrian Fawcett as chief operating officer. He was previously corporate vice president of Belgian brewer Interbrew.

Contract catering

David Pease has been appointed managing director of Sodexho Scotland. He was previously the company's divisional managing director for corporate accounts, covering the chemicals, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals industries.
