The 209-bedroom St Andrews Bay Golf Resort and Spa in Fife has appointed Tamara Kobiolke as head of event planning. She was previously an accounts manager at Maximillion Events in Edinburgh.

The new four-star, 116-bedroom Crown Moran Hotel in London has welcomed three new recruits. Catherine Baroun has joined as sales and marketing manager. Catherine previously worked for Elegant English Hotels in London as marketing manager. Stephen Scuffell has become executive head chef. He was previously chef-patron at the Willows restaurant in Pangbourne, Berkshire. Catherine McCann has been appointed accommodation manager. She leaves the Bonnington Hotel in London, where she was executive head housekeeper. Elite Hotels, a group with three country house hotels in the south of England, has appointed a new marketing manager, David Pettit, to cover for Debbie Whitehead as she goes on maternity leave. David previously held the same role at Glasser Whitley, a software development company in Buckinghamshire. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has promoted Austin Frost to vice president of international sales. He was previously regional director of sales and marketing, responsible for London, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, Dubai and Melbourne.

Melanie Cash has joined the 200-bedroom Renaissance Manchester Hotel as director of sales and marketing. She was

previously sales training manager for Hilton Hotels. ### Restaurants Michael Duffy has moved to the Mark at the Three Crowns in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire, a 36-seat restaurant with two bars. Before buying the restaurant, Michael spent the last three-and-a-half years as sales and marketing director at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Gwent. ### Plus… Bridget Baker has left her role as senior consultant at PKF. She moves to chartered surveyors and leisure consultants, Humberts Leisure, in Brighton, East Sussex, as managing consultant.
