Hotels

Jill Williams has been appointed general manager of the 115-bedroom Solihull Moat House hotel in the West Midlands. She previously held the same position at the Birmingham/West Bromwich Moat House. At the 124-bedroom Wigan Moat House hotel in Lancashire, Nick Henry has been appointed general manager. He leaves his position as operations manager at the Liverpool Moat House.

Sam's Bar & Grill, a 140-seat restaurant at the De Vere Belfry hotel in Wishaw, north Warwickshire, has a new manager, Tonia Ellis. Tonia joins from the Old Orleans restaurant in Birmingham, where she was one of three assistant managers.

Sara Edwards has been promoted to the role of group human resources director of the Savoy Group. She was previously human resources director at Claridge's hotel in London.

Davidson

Legacy Hotels & Resorts International, an operator of four- and five-star hotels in Africa, has promoted Brian Davidson to group sales and marketing director. He was previously group sales and marketing manager.

Restaurants

The Curzon Restaurant & Bar, a new 100-seat Italian restaurant in London's Mayfair, is opening on 4 August. Beny Valini is the chef, Ludovic Lesdalon the restaurant manager and Pedro Louro the bar manager. Beny previously worked for Etrusca Group, a company owning several Italian restaurants in London. Ludovic joins from the Blue Bar at the Berkeley hotel in London and Pedro joins from the Grosvenor House hotel on Park Lane.

Gammage

Following last week's announcement that Insignia Hotels has become CB Richard Ellis Hotels, Insignia's managing director Derek Gammage has a new role. He becomes head of CB Richard Ellis Hotels for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
