Vicki Richards has joined the 148-bedroom London Marriott Park Lane hotel as director of sales. Vicki previously worked in the same position at the Rennaisance London Chancery Court hotel in Holborn.

The 590-bedroom Heathrow Travel Inn Capital opened recently with David Wilmot as operations manager. David's last role was as general manager of the Hilton Newbury Centre in Berkshire.

Rocco Forte Hotels' Angleterre Hotel in St Petersburg, Russia, has welcomed a new general manager. Michael Walsh joins the four-star, 193-bedroom hotel after spending time in the Cayman Islands.

Vicky La Trobe has joined Choice Hotels Europe as director of marketing. She previously held the same position at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

Restaurants

Peter Prescott, general manager of Conran Restaurants' Bluebird restaurant in London, will become Conran Restaurant's UK operations director, following David Loewi's departure as managing director at the end of July. David is planning to develop a new restaurant and hotel business.

Andrew Veevers and Zim Sutton are the new owners of the Easton, a pub in Clerkenwell, London. Andrew was previously strategic development manager at interactive marketing company Real Media and Zim was general manager of Bar Vinyl in Camden, London. ### Plus… Whitbread has appointed a new property director at David Lloyd Leisure, its health and fitness division. David Penniston was the former head of UK development at retailer Waitrose.
