Philadelphia's diet challenge
Philadelphia wants to shake off its reputation as one of the USA's fattest cities by going on a diet. Its health-conscious mayor, John Street, has challenged overweight residents to swap their fried junk food for healthier alternatives.
He has set them the task of losing 76 tons in 76 days.
A spokesman for the mayor denied he had imposed a ban on the city's favourite dish - a steak smothered in cheese.
Philadelphia has been ranked the USA's third-fattest city, behind Houston and Detroit.
