Prince Regent in receivership

The 51-bedroom Prince Regent Hotel at Woodford Green, Essex, has been placed in the hands of receivers by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Ralph Preece, a partner at Touche Ross, which has been appointed by the bank, said there were no plans for redundancies among the 30 full-time staff at the hotel.

"The hotel is being traded until a buyer is found," Mr Preece said. "We have already had some interest from potential buyers."

The Prince Regent, which had been independently-owned, has four function suites and is equipped with Kosher kitchens.
