Central Foods Kosmic Kraft shaped foods
Central Foods is continuing to push hard into the children's meals market with its shaped foods, the latest being Kosmic Kraft. This is a 57g vegetarian product made from potato, Cheddar cheese and onion, coated in a golden crumb and ready for oven-baking or shallow frying. They come packed 48 to the case, and contain no MSG.

Cherry Valley duck entrées
The range of finished duck dishes launched by Cherry Valley last year has a new addition: sliced duckling breast in orange sauce. Like all Cherry Valley duck entrées, this is a frozen single portion which can be reheated in a microwave. The birds used have been bred by Cherry Valley with lower fat content, and the cooked duck meat contains less than 5% fat.

Fridays Chicken Italienne
Sandwich-filling specialist Fridays has added Chicken Italienne to its range. It contains pieces of chicken marinated in basil, garlic and tomato then blended into a mayonnaise. The filling will work on all manner of breads, and is recommended for split ciabatta rolls or baguettes. It comes in pails of 1kg or 2kg.

Brake Bros Crispy Lemon Chicken Escalope
Yet another way to offer chicken on the menu is the new Crispy Lemon Chicken Escalope from Brake Bros. The single boneless breast is marinated in lemon juice then coated in a lemon and pepper flour. The escalopes can be deep-fried from frozen and come packed 20 to the box.

Bravilor bulk-brewing systems
Bravilor has introduced a new bulk-brewing system which works in conjunction with compatible trolleys to enable the beverage to be transported around large establishments such as institutions or hospitals.
The B&B-HW Series has a fixed boiling water fount, capable of delivering 145 litres an hour. The swinging spout is positioned over a coffee urn, with a built-in heating element and a standard freshbrew coffee filter compartment in the neck. A choice of urn capacities is available, in increments of 5, 10, 20 and 40 litres.

Loxtons individual entrées
Loxtons Foods has moved into the sous-vide sector of convenience meals with individual-portion entrée dishes which are first cooked and sauced then sealed into individual plastic pouches and deep-frozen.
In stuffed and sauced chicken suprêmes, flavours range from Oriental Chicken to Moroccan Chicken, and Thai Chicken to a more traditional ham-and-mushroom stuffed suprême with leek and mustard cream sauce. Other products include Stuffed Fillet of Salmon with tomatoes, leeks and mushrooms, and Braised Shoulder of Lamb, which comes with a redcurrant, rosemary and garlic jus.

Falcon Chieftain G1066X
A new addition to the heavy-duty Chieftain range from Falcon Foodservice is the G1066X, which comes with a massive 8.2kW burner. The oven is available as a four-, six- or eight-burner open top, or as a solid top with single or double bullseyes. Pathfinder Home Style cheesecakes
Cheesecakes are always a popular dessert menu choice, and Pathfinder Foods has launched a German-made frozen variety called Home Style. The cheesecake is a textured biscuit base stuffed with cream cheese and raisins, finished with an unusual sour cream topping.
Defrosting time is four hours at room temperature, or it will defrost much quicker in a low-power microwave or convection oven. Once defrosted, the cheesecake has a refrigerated shelf life of three days. They come packed two to a carton in a range of flavours.
