Ramada's 224-bedroom hotel in London's Docklands opens on Saturday (8 November), two days before the start of World Travel Market at ExCel.

The £18.5m waterside hotel offers 153 rooms and 71 suites. There are 56 family rooms and 12 rooms for the disabled. A 100-cover brasserie will offer Mediterranean cuisine. Introductory rates to the end of January run from £105 a night for a standard room and £150 for a suite.

Hilton is to operate a new four-star, 272-bedroom hotel at Canary Wharf, London, due to open in early 2006. The hotel will form part of the new Discovery Dock development by the Capital & Provident group.

The Hilton London Canary Wharf will cater for the corporate market, featuring 10 meeting rooms plus one conference room capable of hosting events for up to 380 delegates.
