Shooting sales at Alton Towers

When Alton Towers wanted to renovate its Corner Coffee House, the company teamed up with coffee leaders Nescafé. The brief - to attract a sizeable share of the park's three million annual visitors and give the shop more family appeal.

During last year's winter close season, the coffee house was renovated with Nescafé branding throughout - on windows, blinds, sunshades and the entrance archways. Inside, Nescafé was featured on the menus, walls and, of course, the coffee machines themselves.

So, when the coffee house re-opened for the 1998 summer season with a more welcoming look and the reassurance of a quality coffee brand, business boomed, with spend-per-head increasing some 41% over the previous year's figure!
