Recruitment continues upward trend

Employers across the hospitality sector are continuing recruitment drives, according to the latest Manpower Survey of Employment Prospects.

Asked whether they would increase, decrease or maintain staffing levels over the next three months, 39% said they would boost head counts. Just 7% said they anticipated having to make job cuts over the quarter. This marks a continuing trend of increasing vacancies, albeit at a slightly slower rate than last year. For the same quarter a year ago, employers were predicting a positive balance of 37%.
