Regal makes move to MK

The Regal Hotel Group, which was last year acquired by its majority stakeholder, Malayan United Industries, is in the throes of moving from Newbury to larger premises in Milton Keynes.

The group, which trades under the Regal and Corus names, was originally in three sites in Newbury, but wanted to bring the operation together under one roof in a more central place in Britain.

Half of the 65 staff are moving with the company while the rest, mostly in administration, have chosen to take redundancy. Replacements are being recruited in Milton Keynes.

The bulk of the move to Blakelands House, in Yeomans Drive, will be completed this week, and all personnel will be in place by the end of the month.
