Reid takes reins at conference consortium
The British Association of Conference Destinations (BACD) has appointed Hamish Reid its new chairman.
Reid, general manager of the Jersey Conference Bureau, takes over from Mady Keup, head of the London Convention Bureau. He will hold the position for a year.
Reid has also worked as a director of sales at Thistle Hotels, and as a London-based account manager for conference and banqueting at Sheraton hotels.
The BACD, founded in 1969, represents 80 local authority conference desks and public/private sector convention bureaux in Great Britain, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
Representing the supply side of the British conference industry, the association's mission is to champion business tourism, nationally and internationally.
