Restaurants enter the red for charity

Restaurateurs are supporting Red Nose Day 2001 by asking customers to give £1 for every bottle of wine ordered over the coming weekend.

Wine Relief is open to all restaurants and wine bars. Among those signed up are Pont de la Tour, A.K.A bar, and Mezzo in London, Rick Stein's Café and Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, and the Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire.

All proceeds go to tackling poverty and promoting social justice in the UK and Africa.
