Rodent remedy

Launched in May, Eradirat kills rats via their digestive systems. The product is made entirely from food-grade plant matter and is claimed to be the most humane way to kill rats currently available.

The makers claim that, within a few days, a rat which has consumed Eradirat lacks sufficient energy to wake up and dies, typically underground where it decomposes naturally, without becoming maggot- infested.

Both Eradirat and its sister product, Eradimouse, have been given an exemption by the Pesticides Safety Directorate and therefore, unlike anti-coagulant rat poisons, are not a controlled substance.
