Salvoni to star at L'Etoile

Roy Ackerman's the Restaurant Partnership last month took over the 90-year-old establishment, which will reopen under the name Elena's L'Etoile. Head chef will be Kevin Hopgood, who has worked at such London restaurants as Ransome's Dock, Rules and L'Escargot.

Other establishments operated by the Restaurant Partnership include the New Mill near Reading, plus London establishments Thierry's on the King's Road and the Gay Hussar in Soho, where Mrs Salvoni has been working since leaving L'Escargot last year.

The company has also opened three further Bistro Bistrot outlets in the capital in the past month, at the Montague Park and Periquito hotels, and in a former pub in Marylebone. The first Bistro Bistrot opened this summer at Bailey's Hotel.
