Say goodbye to Ironing accidents
!](#)
A foldaway iron and ironing table is now becoming an expected item in four-star business hotel rooms, since it can perform many more functions than the traditional trouser press. Yet in-room irons are a potential minefield for hotels should a customer injure himself or misuse them. Fidelity International has developed an in-room foldaway ironing board and steam iron with guest safety in mind. It will automatically switch off if left unattended standing on its heel for more than seven minutes, and it will switch off in seven seconds if left unmoved on its sole. The iron is stored in a safety cage, which dissipates heat, and to which it is also secured so that when the board is folded it is prevented from falling out. The board's legs lock into position when opened and are wide-spaced with a safety handle for release. If room theft is a problem, the iron can be hard-wired to the board to reduce the risk of theft. The price is £89.99. Supplier: Fidelity International *For more information please contact:* [*matty.grant@rbi.co.uk*
