Scandic results

First-quarter results for Scandic Hotels, one of the largest hotel operators in the Nordic region, have revealed profit earnings of SKr31.5m (£24.2m).

The group, which owns 120 hotels in nine countries, reported a slight increase in German room rates after a period of "severe price competition".

Turnover increased by 16% to SKr934m (£719m).
