Schoolchildren to answer questions at children's foodservice conference

How is catering in schools changing? How can you successfully market your brand to kids? How can you develop a kids' menu? These are some of the topics that will be examined at the Catering for Kids Conference on 21-22 November at the Marriott hotel in Slough, Berkshire.

The two-day conference aims to inspire anyone involved in children's foodservice with new ideas and ways to improve sales.

Speakers include: Bob Durkin, menu development manager at Spirit Group's Wacky Warehouse; Carl Morris, director of education at Sodexho (pictured); and Tom Peck, marketing manager of consumer insights at Pizza Hut. The first day ends with the opportunity for delegates to ask questions to a panel of schoolchildren. The second day involves a morning trip to Legoland, in Windsor, Berkshire, where Simone Barry from market research company NPD Foodservice Information Group Europe will be looking at consumer eating-out trends. Afterwards delegates can learn about Legoland's philosophy on foodservice and take a back-of-house tour. Tickets cost £699.13 per person for the full conference, including overnight accommodation. Tickets are also available for the first or second day only. For booking information, click [here.
