Search is on for healthy North-west workplaces

Schools, colleges, workplaces, and community groups in the North-west of England are being invited to enter a National Health Service regional competition aiming to find workplaces that promote health.

The competition organisers of the North-west Health Challenge Awards are looking for employers who are helping to improve the health, well-being and morale of their staff through their policies and activities - including those involving food. Up to £5,000 in prize money will be awarded to the most outstanding project.

All the employer has to do is to fill in an entry form detailing the policies that his or her workplace is carrying out.

For an entry form, contact: Health Challenge Awards, 1st floor, Cavern Court, 8 Mathew Street, Liverpool L2 6RE. Tel: 0151-227 1161. The closing date for entries is 31 January 1999; those shortlisted will be notified by 31 March 1999.
