Getting drunk at an after-event meal at the Imperial, in front of management and my dad when I was 15

Working in a quality establishment with my name above the door

Handling and the smell of raw sweetbreads - they are repulsive

Reservoir Dogs, Taxi Driver

10. What is your idea of a perfect day off?

Sleeping - undisturbed

11. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Don't drink excessive amounts after competitions and go to sleep in the toilets

12. Which person gave you the greatest inspiration?

My dad - he's always there, nothing's too difficult

13. When did you last cry and why?

When I told my dad I'd won the gold - he sounded so happy

Sarcastic, annoying

Someone else, so I could go out with me

7.30-1.30am

17. What irritates you most about hotels?

College boys in suits with a position of responsibility

Club 18-30, where the girls outnumber the boys 10 to one

19. Who would you most like to be stuck in a lift with?

Pamela Anderson on a hot, sweaty day

20. What is the most frustrating part of your job?

Serving Sammy Swallow food (the children's menu)

21. What set off your last uncontrollable bout of laughter?

Watching a kitchen porter walk into a wet-floor cone, fall over and spill a bag of flour over his head
