Sixfields pulls in Bella Pasta and Marston's

BrightReasons and Marston's are to join other restaurant and pub operators at the Sixfields leisure park in Northampton.

Agreements have been signed with developer Wheatcroft Land to build a 200-seat Tavern Table restaurant and a 177-seat Bella Pasta Café Grill at the development. Both restaurants are scheduled to open next April.

The Marston's Tavern Table family restaurant will be the 38th in the brand and is the first new-build for the brewery in 10 years. The acquisition and development costs are put at £1.5m.

The Bella Pasta Café Grill brand was introduced by BrightReasons into its larger sites last year.

These restaurants feature an open grill and a longer menu than in traditional Bella Pastas. Fresh fish and meat are cooked to order at the grill.

There are five Bella Pasta Café Grills, situated in Preston, Stirling, Bradford, Grimsby and Harlow, and the concept is being expanded nationwide.

Earlier phases of the Sixfields scheme included McDonald's, Deep Pan Pizza Co and Burger King outlets.
