UK-based commercial microwave oven manufacturer Merrychef has a number of major product improvements and extensions in the pipeline, including a new combination oven which is claimed to be two to three times faster than existing top-end Mealstream products and will offer performance on a par with the US-developed Turbo-Chef.

The new unit is the same size externally, but has increased capacity and is designed to deal with a full English breakfast in around one minute 30 seconds.

There is also a Mark 2 version of the Turbo-Air vending microwave, using the existing concept of a microwave oven with internal blown air, but with various improvements.
