AN extensive new series of both cabinet and roll-in blast chillers and freezers has been introduced by Caravell (UK). Made by Friulinox, the range includes a choice of controls from electro-mechanical to fully electronic.

The electro-mechanical series comprises four cabinet models from 15 to 45kg chilling capacity. All models are also capable of freezing, with capacities from 10kg to 28kg. There is also a large roll-in model with a chilling capacity of 75kg and freezing capacity of 40kg. All models take Gastronorm 1/1 shelves. Controls can be factory pre-set or partially set up on site.

The four electronic blast chillers/freezers offer a similar range of capacities, ranging from 22 to 150kg (chilling) and from 15 to 100kg (freezing). Master board control models provide a four-line alphanumeric display, self-diagnostics and programme-controlled air-flow.
