Already a popular brand of US-style foods in retail, Discovery Foods has begun packing its Chicago Sticky Ribs and New York Buffalo Wings basting sauces into 1.2kg catering-size jars. The Buffalo Wings Sauce, which takes its name not from the prairie buffalo but from the city of Buffalo in New York State, is a chilli-based sauce used primarily for rubbing into chicken wings, but can be used on thighs or drumsticks. Sticky Ribs sauce is a popular coating for trimmed pork rib racks and is a mix of chilli, mesquite and honey flavours. Both sauces come packed in cases of four jars and, once opened, will stay fresh for 14 days under refrigeration.
