A new class of microwave ovens introduced by Samsung offers a "superheavy" 1850 watts output, offering a time saving of up to 20 per cent in comparison with standard 1600 watt models.

The new ovens are available in two versions: the CM1919 with manual (dial)controls) and the CM1929, with programmable touchpad controls.

Both have a 26 litre cavity suitable for 1/3 Gastronorm pans and oversize dinner plates.

Ovens operate from standard 13 amps supply and features include instant start, multi-stage cooking and a zap pad which adds 20 seconds to the cooking time during any programme if required. Price: £1095.
