Taylor joins Hanover

Four-star hotel group Hanover International has appointed Peter Taylor managing director.

Taylor, who will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the group, was director of business development at Millennium & Copthorne until being made redundant in March.

Charles Gaunt, operations director at Hanover, has stepped down and will take over the role of general manager at the company's hotel in Reading, Berkshire. He retains his place on the Hanover board.

The appointment would allow executive chairman Peter Eyles more time to concentrate on strategy, including development, acquisitions and disposals, Hanover said in a statement.
