Tell us your worst service nightmares and you could win an iPod

Have you ever spilt soup on an important dignitary, or served up rare steak to a vegetarian? Whatever your worst restaurant nightmare is, we want to hear from you.

!
To help ease the pain of revisiting such bad memories we're offering an iPod mp3 player for the story we rate as the most jaw-droppingly awful, plus a runner's-up prize of a state-of-the-art digital camera. The most cringeworthy stories will feature in the 27 May issue of *Caterer*. But don't worry: names and companies will all be omitted to avoid embarrassment! So go on, turn your biggest blunder into your finest hour. The deadline for entries is 5pm, Friday 14 May. E-mail us at , marking your e-mail "Restaurant nightmare"; or write to Restaurant nightmare competition, *Caterer & Hotelkeeper*, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS. Usual *Caterer & Hotelkeeper* terms and conditions apply. A full copy can be obtained by writing to us at the address above.
