The icing on a school initiative
The Langham Hilton's executive chef, Anthony Marshall, had his hands full recently when 20 pupils from Cranmer Middle School in Mitcham, Surrey, tried their hand in the kitchen.
The children visited the five-star London property as part of the Académie Culinaire's Adopt a School initiative, whereby académie members promote the industry through relationships with local schools.
Mr Marshall said the project had proved very rewarding as several of the children said they were now thinking of hotels and catering as a future career. Each was given a Mr Blobby cake to take back to school.
In April, Mr Marshall will pay a visit to Cranmer School.
