The Sustainable Futures programme of seminars, which will run from the 17-21 February, will feature over 20 seminar sessions on areas such as sustainability in procurement, design, and kitchen equipment, backed by guest speakers and case studies. There will also be a daily one-hour panel debate at 1pm focussing on key areas like waste and recycling (17 February) and sustainable tourism (21 February).
Highlights at the Careers in Hospitality theatre on 18 and 19 February include seminars on writing the perfect CV, how to get promoted, negotiating a pay rise, and opportunities for working abroad. Both days also feature a lunchtime panel discussion at 1pm, with Does Flexible Working Work? On the Monday followed by Why Don't the British Want a Career in Hospitality? on the Tuesday.
Meanwhile the Institute will be using its stand this year to showcase its growing number of online information services, such as its eBooks, and offering a discounted rate to new members who sign up at the event.
Hotelympia, the foodservice and hospitality show, will be held from 17 to 21 February at ExCel London.
