The Restaurant Partnership loses three board members

ROY Ackerman has quit as chairman of the Restaurant Partnership along with managing director Nick Scade and executive director Paul Breach.

The joint resignations come months after the appointment of John Cahill, who became chief executive in February. They were "mutually agreed" in the light of Cahill's review of the business.

The group of 16 restaurants, in which hotel group Regal has a 62.5% share, is expected to report an operating loss of £2m in its annual results.

Cahill claimed the losses would not amount to £2m but declined to give a revised figure. He added that all 16 restaurants would continue operating.

"Inevitably, when you have a portfolio, there will be some star performers and those that need attention," he said.

Simply Nico in London's Chelsea is one of those in need of attention. The restaurant has been renamed At Last.
