They put engines in our Rolls-Royces so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the Germans will soon be putting tea in our teapots. Ronnefeldt has been trading in tea since 1823, supplying teas and tea accessories to hotels across Europe, and is now launching in the UK. About 30 loose teas and infusions are available, seven in Tea Caddies (pre-portioned filter sachets, designed for two or three cups in a pot), 12 in Teavelopes (individually foil-sealed tea bags, to you and me) and 10 in regular tea bags. A range of accessories includes a tilting teapot, designed to prevent tea from overbrewing.

PRICES: Tea Caddy, £45 (200 x 2-3 cups); Teavelopes, £24 (250 x single-cup portions, black and green teas); tilting teapot, £14
