Times Square to get Starwood W

Starwood Hotels will be opening a flagship W hotel in New York's Times Square in December.
It will be the company's 16th W hotel and will have 509 bedrooms, six conference rooms and a 400-seat Blue Fin seafood restaurant.
Meanwhile, Millennium & Copthorne is continuing to reconsider the choice of name for its M boutique hotel chain, due to be launched in Singapore at the end of the year.
It is understood the name's similarity to Starwood's W chain could be behind the rethink (Caterer, 9 August, page 8).
A company spokesman said: "We are not in a position to release any information until a final decision is made."
